Outsourcing GreenScreen HC and GreenScreen HC S9

Gentronix is pleased to announce a full GreenScreen HC contract testing service is now available from its laboratory facilities in Manchester, UK. This provides an alternative route for the rapid and professional evaluation of a compound’s genotoxic liability without the need to install the assay in clients’ laboratories.

The GreenScreen HC service is available in two formats:

  • GreenScreen HC – according to the standard microplate assay protocol.
  • GreenScreen HC S9 – protocol incorporating exogenous metabolic activation from rodent liver S9 fraction and analysis by flow cytometer.
Testing with Gentronix has several advantages:

Low compound requirement.

We request approximately 10 mg of pre-weighed material to be supplied per compound analysed. With pre-solubilisation in DMSO this allows testing up to typically 1 mg/ml unless limited by solubility or cytotoxicity and over 9 serial dilutions.

Rapid turnaround.

Gentronix aims to prepare, test and provide a full test report within 2 weeks of receipt of compounds and commencement of testing. Gentronix will also provide the complete set of data files, a detailed description of the protocol(s) followed and supporting documentation to assist with data interpretation.

Work with the experts in the assay.

As the developers of the GreenScreen range of assays, Gentronix scientists will be able to provide expert advice on the testing protocols and data interpretation. Gentronix scientists also have wide experience in working with compounds with diverse physicochemical properties and can adapt protocols accordingly.

Test both with and without exogenous metabolic activation.

Gentronix recommends that compounds are tested both with and without exogenous metabolic activation to give a complete picture of the compound’s genotoxic liability.

Scalable studies.

Studies have previously been performed on as little as 1 to as many as over 1000 test compounds.

Over 75 pharmaceutical and fine chemical companies in 15 countries are now using GreenScreen HC data as part of their genotoxicity profiling strategy.

Please contact Gentronix for further details of the GreenScreen HC service and a quotation.
